The International Olympic Committee (IOC) head, Thomas Bach, met with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in Riyadh on Sunday. They met at the Palace of Al-Yamama.
They talked about strategies to advance the Olympic Games both domestically and internationally throughout the discussion, as well as collaboration between Saudi Arabia and the IOC. Additionally present were Yasir Al-Rumayyan, the governor of the Public Investment Fund, Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, the minister of sports, and Abdulaziz Baeshen, the chief executive officer and secretary-general of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee.
A 12-year agreement was previously inked in July between Saudi Arabia and the IOC to host the new e-sports Olympics, starting in Riyadh in 2025.
